It was the day of reckoning for over 950,000 class eight finalists sitting the KCPE this year.They went through the normal examination readiness procedures before they settled in their positions for the question and answer papers.

In Nairobi, the examination kicked off on time in many of the centers.

In Lavington Primary School the invigilator gave the exercise a clean bill of health.

We get to Milimani Primary School after the end of the English Grammar paper. The pupils expressed optimism that they will produce an excellent performance.
But it was a rude shock for 17 pupils of Utu Wema primary school after they found out that their head teacher did not register them for the examination.

In Baringo County, seven centers in Baringo Central started the examination late.

The examination administrators did not have enough four wheel-drive vehicles to deliver the material in the ragged terrain.

The centers where the exams delayed are Kituro, Kamwen in Baringo central Sub-County and 7 schools in Tiaty Sub County.

Meanwhile, Migori county giants, Momokoro of Kuria West sub-county, have vowed to continue with the excellent performance that they have had for the past years in KCPE examinations.

The pupils were optimistic that they will record good grades when the exams are released at the end of the year or early next year.

No cases of examination leakage have been reported so far.
