The board of Barclays bank of Kenya and the bank’s top management on Saturday joined athletes from ”2 running club” in a morning run in Eldoret. The run was aimed at promoting and nurturing the young and established athletics talent.
It was another epic Saturday as Barclays bank organized a running competition in Eldoret with the top management getting on the lane.
The directors, who are in Eldoret for a strategy session and customer engagements, joined the 2 Running Club assistant coach Alfred Kirwa Yego, 800m champions Janeth Jepkosgei and Eunice Sum, marathoners Dickson Chumba and Cyprian Kotut and 5,000m star Margaret Chelimo.
Steeple-chase legend Ezekiel Kemboi also joined the run.
Speaking after the run, Barclays Bank CEO Jeremy Awori said sports is among the things they are passionate and this has driven them to discover more talents and engage with the community.
The athletes said all they needed is the support to sharpen and produce more talents in athletics.
Apart from athletics, Barclays bank are the main sponsors of the golf Kenya open tournament.
