Felix Orinda (DJ Evolve) has opened up on the January 17 Nairobi shooting incident involving Embakasi East MP Babu Owino that has left him bedridden for over six months.

Orinda was discharged from the Nairobi Hospital on Thursday, June 18 and his colleagues revealed that his speech was not back to normal.

However, in an interview on Friday, June 19, Evolve detailed that he will have to accept the aftermath of the incident.

“I have to come to terms with my situation. Whatever happened was unfortunate. I request Kenyans to pray that I recover fully so that I can continue entertaining. Yaliopita si ndwele. (The past is gone),” the DJ stated.

He went on to detail how much he missed the entertainment scene and would make it up to his fans who stood by him after he was hospitalised.

“I have really missed home. This has been a really long battle that has affected my family, friends and business, but I cannot wait to be back.

“I have so many songs to listen to since several hits have been produced during my stay in hospital. I have to listen to all of them in order to familiarise myself with the music,” Orinda stated.

The entertainer also spoke on his recovery as his mother stated that she would regulate the number of visitors who frequented to check on him.

“I’m glad and I feel hopeful. I can now see light at the end of this.

“Sometimes I feel my legs. That makes me know that God is working on me,” Orinda added.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino was released on a cash bail of Ksh10 million on January 27. He also catered for the DJ’s bills.
