Energy Regulatory Commission's Engineer Buge Wasioya

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has put measures to govern the sector that will ensure that stakeholders comply with while doing their businesses.Speaking after a one day sensitization workshop targeting stakeholders in the business, senior manager for power systems at the commission, engineer Buge Wasioya, lamented that the country was loosing millions of shillings through malpractices by individuals.

According to the commission some of the measures the commission has put in place include conducting random checks to different stations to check on those selling adulterated products.

He further said the commission has launched a retailer self-test kit which is meant to benefit petroleum retailers by testing petroleum products upon delivery before accepting it.petroleum costs in the country are low compared to other East African Communities.
