Kenya premier league will continue today afternoon with only one tie set for action. Kpl league leaders Gor Mahia will be at home Kisumu stadium to play against Sammy Omolo’s Posta rangers.
Ahead of the tie Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr will have to wipe off the hangover of their first Kenyan Premier League loss of the season last Tusday to Bandari in Mombasa.
Despite the loss, Gor still enjoy a healthy lead at the top of the Kpl standings with an 11 point buffer between them and second placed Bandari FC and they can pull it further to a 14 point gap this afternoon with three points against the mailmen.
Both Dylan Kerr and and his assistance Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno are in agreement that Gor Mahia is ready to forget the Bandari humiliation and post positive results against Posta Rangers.
Posta Rangers head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo and his side will have to defend better if they have huge hopes of getting a positive result against the league leaders in Kisumu.
The two sides have met twice before: once in the league clash in Kisumu where Posta Rangers lost 5 – 0 before a 3 – 1 win for Gor again in the Shield Cup.
Gor who have played two fewer games lead the pack with an incredible gap of 11 points while Posta has posted unwanted results and sits 10th with 31 points having played one more match to Gor.
K’Ogalo, hitherto unbeaten before their sojourn to Mombasa, will be taking on the mailmen in their fourth game in 10 days and head coach Kerr wants them to respond to their loss at Bandari with ‘anger’.
However, Posta Rangers will try to reconstruct themselves from their previous 3 – 1 loss to Bandari last weekend at Camp Toyoyo in Nairobi.
