Game parks and hotels in the coast region have started receiving a high number of tourists ahead of the tourism season early next month.

According to tourism stakeholders, game reserves and camps have started being overwhelmed by the number of visitors in the area.

The Tourism industry in the coast is receiving a boost ahead of high tourists visit seasons in July.

Hotels and camps in the Tsavo East, Tsavo west and Amboseli national parks have already recorded between 60% and 70 % increment from 30% last month.

Tourism sector officials says, the number of tourists is expected to double up after they sited tourists from Poland and German jetting in on a charter plane last week.

In addition to that, they expect the number of local tourists to increase especially after the launch of standard gauge railway.

The same records are expected at The Maasai Mara game parks and reserves following a high number of bookings.
