Internet solutions has launched a cost effective service targetting the SMEs. The bandwidth service will give enterprises the flexibility of controlling how much data they want to consume and only pay for what they use.

After testing the viability of its services with some of its clients, the internet solution has introduced a pay per use service that will give customers access to unlimited internet.

The move by the Internet Solution follows the yawning demand more specifically by companies to use internet as a utility like water and electricity where charges are based on the amount of service used in a predefined period.

Managing Director, Mr. Richard Hechle stated that the disruptive solution would offer businesses better flexibility and control over their expenses since clients and customers will not be charged a fixed flat rate for connectivity services per month.

The new consumption-based service is now available in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Nigeria and Ghana. Clients can choose from four bandwidth plans: 20 Mbps, 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and STMI1 – 155 Mbps last mile but only on IS networks.

Lastly, the new product is optional for now but IS sees a future where it will drop open access and go for fully metered.
