There is light at the end of the tunnel for the pride of Africa (Kenya airways), as it moves a step closer to operating direct flights to the united states of America.

After a series of dismay from Kenya airways and the government dishing out 25 billion of the tax payers money to revive the company, KQ is showing s sign of progress by submitting applications for direct flights to the United States which will l commence in June 2018.

They shall be in partnership with an American airline.

Direct flights to the U.S will be beneficial for those studying, have families and most importantly, those in the business in both countries.

Despite the good news, Kenya airways owes both international and local banks more than 70 billion shillings.

The treasury cabinet secretary henry Rotich, is to approach the parliament to discuss KQ debt, where treasury is to slowly pay the lenders so that they may extend the money collection.
