The Kenyan Premier League has come up with official measures that will be adopted to deal with sports betting, doping and officiating within the league. The resolutions were adopted in a meeting of the league executives that went late yesterday

The league has proposed customizing the English Football Association betting policy into a KPL betting code. KPL is also considering commissioning sports betting data company Sports Radar to monitor the betting trends in the local league.

KPL Chief Executive Officer Jack Oguda said the league was in the process of acquiring investigative officers to probe any arising match fixing allegations as resolved in the meeting. The match officials appointment committee will thus have the mandate to review referees performances and to take appropriate action against incompetent officials based on match reports and video review.
