As the puzzle of schools’ arsons continues to take the country by storm, Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has urged leaders and education stakeholders to get to the root cause of the issue.Speaking in Muthithi ward in Kigumo constituency the legislator has advised school managers to embrace consultative dialogue as a way of understanding issues affecting students arguing that closing of schools is not a solution to the current wave of unrests. In the same tempo, leaders in Kajiado County have appealed for dialogue among all education stakeholders to end unrests in schools.
Led by Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye, the leaders have urged Education CS Fred Matiang’i broaden his consultations with the education stakeholders.
Kajiado Central legislature Elija Memusi on his part insists that leaders to have a part to play.
The Education CS has attributed burning of schools to exam cheat cartels who feel that his efforts to streamline the sector has closed all openings where cheating used to thrive.
