Ministerial conference on global data for agriculture and nutrition took place in KICC today.

The for a three day event on argotic Africa exhibition in Kenya.

Agriculture remains as the backbone of the country’s economy.

The ministerial conference on global open data for agriculture and nutrition was officially launched by the cabinet secretary for treasury and is to run for the next three days.

Agriculture has unfortunately not attracted the youth who are believed to be the source of technology in Africa.

The exhibition however will be harnessing the potential of the young through open data for economic growth and prosperity.

Godan, CEO, Andrae Laperrier says that putting ideas will generate better projects, siting the effect of agriculture in different areas.

The president of Agra, Agnes Kalibata commends the president of Kenya on his commitment of supporting the youth in agriculture.

Henery Rotich the cabinet secretary for treasury noted on the advantages of agriculture in the Kenyan economy.

Agriculture however holds the key to unlocking the benefit of the current economic growth in the global south to benefit the youth.
