National super alliance flag bearer Raila Amollo Odinga has been cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to run for presidency in the august eight polls.

Raila, who was accompanied by running mate Kalonzo Musyoka and NASA co-principals, presented his papers to IEBC at the Kenyatta International Connection Center (KICC).

The National Super Alliance (NASA) then headed for a rally at jacaranda grounds in Nairobi as the official campaign period kicks off.

Addressing the residents of Embakasi East at Jacaranda grounds here in Nairobi the NASA team said they have put up proper machinery for the august polls and that no election will be rigged by the jubilee government.

Other candidates who were cleared include Ekuru Aukot of third way alliance.

Abduba Dida of Alliance For Real Change had been turned back by IEBC officials for failure to have his papers certified.
