After a delayed declaration of the opposition’s presidential candidate, NASA, last week, reached it’s final decision on its flag bearer and alliance line-up for the August 8th polls.
The big reveal finally calmed NASA supporters with the principals echoing their confidence in the coordinating committees final decision.
However, prior to the big announcement, the alliance had brought on board its fifth principal – Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto whose entry seemed to rejuvenate the alliance.
The coalition is now on a retreat to discuss its seven-point policy where it will base its manifesto namely; reconciliation, resolving historical injustices, equality, strengthening devolution, a people-centered leadership, promotion of socio-economic rights and eradication of poverty and unemployment.
Pundits say the Pentagon, led by Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga and running mate Kalonzo Musyoka intend to plan on a solid campaign strategy in preparation for the general election.
