The ongoing politicking in the country has raised concerns in regards to the repeat election with just 6 days left.

NASA still refuses to take party in the repeat election, jubilee party is still holding campaigns ahead of the election saying the election will still be held and the independent electoral and boundaries commission’s chairman has cited concerns that changes still need to be made before the poll date.

NASA leader Raila Odinga withdrew from the polls, The irreducible minimums they put forward have up to date not been met and now they have vowed to stage countrywide protests on October 26, the date set for the repeat presidential election.

Jubilee’s Uhuru and Ruto have been campaigning ahead of the polls and are today expected to hold rallies in three counties. They say that despite the ongoing drama in the country, the poll date still remains.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, IEBC on the other hand is facing challenges as well, just ahead of the polls.

The Commissioners Chairman Wafula Chebukati in his statement yesterday stated the need to have new staff in order to have a free fair and credible election.

Former IEBC Senior staff Roslyen Akombe has also taken the step to resign from the Commission and move out of the country while confirming the country is facing a political crisis and the commission cannot solve the issue on its own.

And the business man Jimi Wanjigi’s situation in his home revealed his closeness with top leaders in the political divide saying the government he helped form attacked his home because of his support for Raila.
