Differences have risen amongst Member of Parliament from the Jubilee camp and those from KANU concerning the person who will be the flag bearer for rift valley come 2022.
In a homecoming ceremony of Bureti Member of Parliament, Japhet Mutai, held at Kapkatet primary school, Kericho County, Jubilee leaders led by Senator Kipchumba Murkomen of Elgeyo Marakwet and Belgut MP Nelson Koech differed publicly over presidential candidates
Senator Murkomen supporting deputy president William Ruto also the chief guest in the event, Koome and Baringo Women Rep, Gladwel Tungo and Tiaty MP William Kamket arguing the preferred from The Great Rift is Baringo Senetor Gideon Moi.
The arising rift from the Rift valley comes in at a time after NASA Principal Raila Odinga paid former president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi a visit on Wednesday, last week.
This creating some tension to William Ruto’s supporters speculating that it might be a plan for Senator Gideon Moi to take over presidency come 2022.
On his part Murkomen also the chairman of the Kalenjin elected leaders saying that Ruto is the most favourable presidential candidate over Moi.
Meanwhile, allegations are rife that Jubilee leaders are also planning to hold a meeting with former president Daniel Moi.
