Deputy President William Ruto has assured Kenyans that the IEBC standoff will be resolved soon despite the prevailing political differences.
Ruto says the current standoff is a political rift that will soon be ended by politicians.

Nonetheless, the DP says the constitution must guide the process of ending the stalemate.
Ruto says it will be a great injustice to negate the constitution in order to serve the whims of a few individuals.
Other Jubilee leaders who had accompanied the Deputy President to Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Catholic Church in Ongata Rongai told the Opposition cord to seek a parliamentary process to remove IEBC commissioners from office.

Kajiado county Senator Peter Mositet said the relentless calls for disbandment of IEBC are a back door attempt by the opposition leader Raila Odinga to get to power.

Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye asked both Jubilee and CORD leaders and supporters not to go to the extremes even if they disagree over the IEBC issue.
