The age-old battle for football supremacy between Kenya and Tanzania was brought back to life following the unveiling of the annual Sportpesa super cup.
Spotpesa cup inaugural edition will run from June 5 to 11 in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania.
Kenyan betting company Sportpesa have launched an eight team super cup tournament that will see the Tanzania premier side battle with Kenyan side KPL.
SportPesa CEO said they are committed in giving participating teams and their supporters a world-class tournament geared towards bringing the best out of the rich talent in East Africa.
The lucrative one week tournament that will be hosted in Tanzania will feature four teams from Tanzania and Kenya with the winner pocketing tidy sum of 30,000 dollars.
Top players from Kenya may however fail to participate in the competition as they head to camp to prepare for their away game against Sierra.
