EACC Chairman Philip Kinisu

A day after a lawyer filed a petition in parliament that will see the investigation and the removal of the Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission Philip Kinisu youth in Bungoma are up in arms over the same and have now urged members of parliament to allow Kinisu to serve the public in peace without dis-tractors. The youth have vowed to defend the EACC Chairman and ensure that he remains in office. The youth who belong to the Western Youth League say that the attempts to remove Kinisu as EACC chair have been orchestrated by characters who are anti-western region and are the same people who ensured that former Deputy Chief Justice Nancy Baraza went home.

The youth also added that prominent people in government especially from Bungoma county have been on many occasions been sabotaged and thus the habit needs to stop

Kinisu is currently being accused of being associated to Esaki Ltd, a company he owns with members of his family, which transacted business worth millions of shillings with the National Youth Service

The commission, on the other hand, is investigating the loss of Sh791 million of taxpayers’ money in fraudulent payments by NYS
